How to make a "Port Wine Sangaree"

How to:

  1. Dissolve the sugar in the water and port in the bottom of a highball glass
  2. Almost fill the glass with crushed ice; add the soda
  3. Float the brandy on top, and garnish with a lemon twist
  4. Dust with nutmeg, then with cinnamon, and serve
